::Yui::
Type: Canon!
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Crushes: None
Face Claim: N/A
Description:
Physically speaking, Yui is quite small for her age. Standing at 4 feet 11 inches and weighing a meagre 87 lbs, Yui is built to be small but relatively lithe. Part of the reason for her shorter height, despite her age, is the fact that she has stunted growth; this is due to her being bedridden since she was seven, which stunted her growth and eventually caused her death. Despite this, after spending time in the Afterlife, Yui has become more physically fit, toning her muscles to work as a member of the SSS.
Stylistically, Yui is quite loud, with a style that easily fits with her hyperactive personality. She is most often seen in the garb of the SSS, with a seifuku-style shirt and matching miniskirt. The blouse is mostly white, like any other school uniform-style top; however, the collar is a shade of periwinkle blue, with a navy-blue trim along the edges. The cuffs match the collar, with a periwinkle-blue base shade and navy-blue trim. There is also navy trim along the remaining edges of the shirt. The skirt is the same shade of periwinkle blue, but rather than a navy-blue trim, the sides are adorned each with two stripes of silvery-blue.
Aside from the usual Class 3-S uniform, Yui adds her own stylistic changes to her outfit. Her legs are clad in a pair of short boots with a slight heel on them, with the tops of the boots reaching to just above her ankles. Connected to the boots, however, is a crisscrossed ribbon-top, which reaches to just below her knees. On either thigh she wears a double-belt to accent her punk-like style. Around her wrists is a pair of handcuffs - or, rather, broken handcuffs. They appear to have been part of the same at one point, but have been broken and are worn around her wrists in a stylish manner.
Yui's hairstyle is the most extravagant part of her entire outfit. Most of her hair reaches down to her waist, seeming longer but actually not all that long considering her physical size. On either side of her head, a small chunk of hair is held in a ponytail, with maroon ribbons tying it up. As well, reaching down to about her chest are two more strands, held like a ponytail but, rather than near the top, they are held together at the ends with two cross-shaped barrettes. To top everything off, Yui appears to have a strange demon tail protruding from her posterior, which will often wag when she is excited. The ahoge on the top of her head will also wag in unison with the tail.
Personality:
To many, Yui is considered one of the most positive girls you could ever meet. She is almost always seen with a smile on her face, skipping along in a happy-go-lucky manner. She tends to run at her own pace, doing things how she wants to and how she thinks would look good... Though, of course, whether it actually looks good or not is something to be said. She appears to live with a strong, full sense to life with little to no worries at all.
A lot of the time, Yui is very hyperactive, jumping at the slightest of things, running and jumping for no reason, and generally acting as if she were constantly hyped up on sugar. That being said, sweets are a thing which Yui will hoard; they are to be considered delicious, though she most enjoys chocolate and sour candies. To an extent, her hyperactive nature can become annoying at times, though she rarely cares whether it does or not.
Yui has a tendency to act quite childish in her ways, talking in a babyish voice and often resorting to petty things whenever she can. In addition to her voice being high-pitched because she is female, Yui will often talk in nasal-seeming, babyish tones, especially when she's either frustrated or doesn't get her way. Small temper-tantrums like any child would do are far from abnormal for her as well.
Aside from her immature, somewhat childish nature, Yui happens to have a more "explosive" side to her personality, which can often be considered her "serious" side. Most of the time, she is known to unleash rude yet joking comments on the other members of the SSS, in a very blunt fashion as well. She is also known to be quite violent, in particular towards Hinata, often trying to catch him in wrestling holds and the like.
Because of her years spent bedridden, Yui has a desire to do many things. She enjoys standing beside the sidewalk to play guitar and singing, though she rarely does it. She also enjoys being promotions manager for Girls Dead Monster, as it means she gets to attend each and every one of their concerts for sure.
History:
Yui was born into a small family, a family of three, as one of the most normal girls you could have ever meet. She was a sweet little girl, always willing to help her mom around the house with small chores, chores that a child could do. She was best known for her fun-loving, hyperactive nature and her desitre to go on unique exploration missions with her friends.
Upon starting school, Yui's personality was no different; she was, a lot of the time, the center of attention, mostly because she was so loud and simply attracted attention [though, whether it was good or bad is another question entirely]. She wasn't always the most intelligent of girls in regards to common sense, but she knew what it was that she was talking about a lot of the time. She had an almost perfect life carved out for her; one of her parents was a doctor, the other a lawyer, so there was never the real fear of adverse living conditions.
She was about seven when it happened. It was an accident that would change her life forever. Walking to school on her own like she always did, Yui was skipping along happily, singing some incoherent tune that nobody would recognize. Upon crossing the street in a legal manner - that was one thing she always looked out for - she didn't realize the car that was hurtling towards her. She was hit by the front bumper, the top of the bumper hitting her in the shoulder, sending her flying quite a few feet.
Yui came out of the accident with, surprisingly, minimal injuries; she was a little scraped up, and some of the bones in her shoulder were fractured, and little to no head trauma, either. However... There was one injury that stood out the most. Partly due to whiplash and the force from the collision, Yui's spine had been broken, paralyzing her from the neck down. She was bound to be paralyzed for the rest of her life. That accident, a very small, hardly a blip on the radar sort of accident, had changed Yui's life forever.
Being paralyzed from the neck down was a difficult task. The only thing she could do now was sit in her bed and watch television, unable to even change the channel on her own. She couldn't feel anything at all; even when her mom bathed her, she couldn't feel the sensation of the hot water on her body. She was like a limp doll; the only movement, now that her spine had healed back into its proper place, that she could carry out was moving her head from side to side to take in her surroundings.
She became somewhat subdued in her nature, losing some of her hyperactiveness. Despite that, she was still a happy girl; she enjoyed watching the things other people could do, longing to have a taste of that experience herself. Despite that, she knew it wasn't true. Even if she wished and prayed hard enough, it would never come. There was no way to fix paralysis. Things might have been easier if she'd been paralyzed from the waist down; at least she could have done things like write, or read, or something like that. She still had some form of schooling, in the form of oral tests; her mother, a doctor, had quit her job to spend full time taking care of her helpless daughter. Yui was homeschooled for the rest of her life.
Yui's life went on in a rather boring manner, with her eventually dying of respiratory failure in her sleep, at the age of 16. She died in a rather peaceful manner, experiencing no pain as she passed on, but still silently wishing that she'd never been on the road that day nine years earlier. She didn't expect, however, to find herself in a new place after passing, having regained her full ability to move once more.
She woke up in near a highschool, somewhere in the grounds, lying in the grass. She knew she was lying in the grass because she fould feel it; strangely enough, she was dressed in a black school uniform, her hair hanging down as it always had. She could feel it on her legs. It was soft, like a baby's breath, similar to the feeling of her mother's hair against her face when she was kissed goodnight. At first, she was afraid to move; was this just some sort of dream, or was she really and honestly able to feel again? She could feel the cool of the grass against her legs as well...
Taking a quick breath, she'd tried to sit up and, to her utter amazement... She could move. She could now do the things that she wanted. Scrambling up as quickly as possible, Yui relished in the feeling that she could walk, talk, and skip around. Tears of joy welled in her eyes, and at first, she fell to her knees crying, overwhelmed with the joy that she could finally do the things that she'd wanted to and, at the same time, praying it wasn't some sort of dream that would shatter her hope.
In pure and utter joy, Yui began traversing the grounds of the area she'd woken up in, feeling happier than she'd ever been. She realized that she would now be able to accomplish the sorts of things she'd seen on television, the sorts of things she, as a quadriplegic, couldn't have accomplished otherwise. Walking and performing regular duties all by herself, plus the ability to feel, was one thing; being able to play sports, to run and jump in the grass or snow, or to feel the warmth of a hug from someone was a completely different feeling entirely. Strangely enough, Yui felt somehow renewed...
And yet, at the same time, she cursed God. She knew she'd never see her family again, never experience their smiling faces or the feeling of her mother helping her out of the goodness of her heart, not just because she needed it. She cursed God for putting her on that crosswalk that day, for not making the brakes work enough, and for stealing the greatness of her life from her. She was glad to have it back, but she didn't attribute it to God; it almost made her sick to think that she'd had to die to be like this again. She may have died peacefully, but she could have experienced life to the fullest if God hadn't let that car hit her that day.
But, despite her mental cursing, Yui was happy and hyperactive. It wasn't long before she came to recognize the local band, Girls Dead Monster, and was instantly a fan. She enjoyed rocking out at the concerts that were often hosted in the large cafeteria area and was soon a groupie. Little did she know, however, that Girls Dead Monster was the distraction force behind the Afterlife War Front, though it was known by a different name at that point. She was soon recruited as a member of the front, working as the promotions manager for Girls Dead Monster. Changing her uniform, Yui donned the abilities of a soldier - though essentially she didn't participate in battles - and fought against the Angel and School Council President with everyone else.
Combat Style:
Yui possesses little to no combat ability whatsoever, to the point that she's often ranked as not much of a threat against Tenshi. Despite this, she has fairly amazing wrestling skills outside of battle, though in battle she can do nothing more than to act as a meat shield or a comedic distraction to those around, no matter if they are friend or foe.

Laundry! Like any and all chores, laundry was a chore that Yui found much less than "appealing." Really, couldn't they just make your clothes magically wash with the snap of one's fingers? There were so many extravagant things with this world, but did she really have to engage herself in the kinds of chores that were menial, such as this? There had to be something fun she could find about laundry washing... And folding... And packing up into baskets.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid people and their stupid chores and stupid ideas of how to do stupid things!" she announced to no one in particular as she marched, apparently with a plan in mind but no desire to execute it, towards the laundromat areas. In her arms was a giant basket, and in the basket, a garbage bag; that was right, a garbage bag full of clothing. She needed to keep the original basket clean, after all, and Yui was, considerably, eccentric in her ways...
Scuttling in, Yui moved with a crablike skitter towards one of the washers, opening the door on the front and hustling to open the bag that held her dirty clothes. Pulling the different ones out, she took a brief second to admire whatever stains were on each. Blood... Oh, she remember that; she'd ran into a pole and had a nosebleed that day, and it had dripped down the whole collar and front. It looked like she had got some on the skirt, too... Wait, no, that was just a ketchup stain. Throwing it in the dryer, she pulled out the next one. More blood... Ah, that was right, she'd slipped on the grass and conked herself out on the concrete. She cringed just remembering that. She'd slid on the grass, too, which could be told by the large green stain on the skirt. Grass stains. Psh.
The third one was a pair of socks. They looked clean... Sniffing them, Yui almost gagged. Nope, definitely not. Those smelt like non-deodorized feet to her. Making a gagging noise, she unceremoniously tossed them in the washer. The next one was a grey shirt... With a big chocolate stain on the front. There was also a bit of caramel stuck to it... Where in the world had that come from? Continuing through, she found many stains on her clothing, and even one where there was a giant lollipop stuck to it. Figures, she thought, not caring to realize that any of her uniforms had just been stuck in with other colours and put on a hot water cycle. She always washed her clothes like that... Stuff 'em all in and don't care. She still wondered how that one grey shirt was kind of a pinkish colour now, though...
Having put all of her laundry in, Yui marched over to a table with almost robotic-style movements, dragging the laundry basket behind her. She settled down, hardly even coming to the realization that Ooyama was there. He was so much like an NPC in his ways - what with his normalcy and general non-specialization in anything whatsoever - she, in her considerably hyperactive state, had glossed over him. He was kind of like fine print, but much less interesting, hence the reason it wasn't read in the first place.
